My motto song! It's got to swing!
And who would have thought these 2 songs actually mix quite well? ;)

Rereleased 1.08.2006
Removed the midi drums and improved lots of the singing

Lyrics
Chords

Intro
What good is melody? What good is music?
If it ain't possessin' something sweet
It ain't the melody, it ain't the music
There's somethin' else that makes this tune complete

It don't mean a thing...
It don't mean a thing, if you ain't got that swing
Doo wa doo wa.... rab dab dada da
It don't mean a thing, all you gotta do is sing
Doo wa doo wa...

It makes no diff'rence if it's sweet or hot
Just give that rhythm ev'ry little thing you've got

It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing
<Improvised> wooo

Piano Solo

...makes no diff'rence if it's sweet or hot
Just give that rhythm ev'ry little thing you've got
Bunny!

It don't mean a thing, if you ain't got that swing
Doo wa doo wa....
It don't mean a thing, all you gotta do is sing
Doo wa doo wa...

It makes no diff'rence if it's sweet or hot
Just give that rhythm ev'ry little thing you've got

(Distorted) Piano Solo

Hungarian Dance #5
Dance, let's dance, Hungarian Style
Dance, let's dance with the melody and a smile (hey!)

Sing your love songs, strum the guitars
For the music playing, we'll be swaying, underneath the stars
La la la.... (hey!)

Mix
(both at the same time, "it don't mean a thing" slowly sneaking back into the foreground, getting it's territory back that was taken over by the Hungarian Dance for a moment)

  Dance, let's dance,
Hungarian Style
Dance, let's dance with the melody and a smile
Sing your love songs,
strum the guitars
For the music playing,
we'll be swaying,
Rab dab dada Daaaa
It don't mean a thing,
if it ain't got that swing
Doo wa doo wa....

It don't mean a thing,
if it ain't got that swing
Doo wa doo wa...
Rab dab dada Daaaa

It makes no diff'rence if it's sweet or hot
Just give that rhythm ev'ry little thing you've got

Telephone
It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing
<Improvised>
It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing
Doo wa doo wa...

Intro:
Gm - Gm/F - Eb7 - D7

Verse1:
Gm - Gm/F# - Gm/F - Gm/E - Eb7 - D7 - Gm
C7 - C#dim - Bb - D7

Verse2:
(just the last chord is different, only when leading over to Verse 3)
Gm - Gm/F# - Gm/F - Gm/E - Eb7 - D7 - Gm
C7 - C#dim - Bb - Bb

Verse3:
Fm7 - Bb7 - Eb maj7
Gm7 sus4 - C7 - F7 - D7

Hungarian Dance Part 1:
Gm - D7 - Gm - Cm - Gm - D7 - Gm

Hungarian Dance Part 2:
G - Cm - F - Bb - D7 - Gm - D7 - Gm

Very quick changes!
The Note after the slash (as in Gm/F) is the bass note to be played and can be ignored for others.
At one point the whole thing is modulating into Cm and back to Gm later. That happens by using the dominant chord of the following part at the end of the last one...instead of the actual current dominant ...which sounds confusing at first...
The Mix-Part is first played with the "Dance" chords, then with the "Swing" ones.

Speed: 240 bpm (120 at first)

Music written by Duke Ellington and Johannes Brahms.
